Director of Southern TOHOKU BNCT Research Center Prof. Yoshihiro Takai and Tokyo Clinic Dr. Ryutaro Kakinuma were invited to All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference: Clinical Cancer Advances 2019 on May 23-24 in Federal Siberian Research Clinical Centre (FSRCC), Krasnoyarsk, Russia. Prof. Yoshihiro Takai gave a talk in the world’s first accelerator-based BNCT (AB-BNCT) system placed in Southern TOHOKU General Hospital. Dr. Ryutaro Kakinuma shared lung cancer screening experience in Japan. 

STHG delegation also met FSRCC General Director Mr. Boris Barankin to discuss future collaboration opportunities and establishment of an MOU. Visits to Nuclear Medicine Center, Neurorehabilitation Dept., and Pulmonology Dept. were arranged to get acquainted with their recent research performance.

The 5th tripartite conference among STHG, Taipei Medical University-Shuang Ho Hospital (SHH) and FSRCC will take place in September 2019 in Tokyo. Mr. Barankin is expected to visit Japan for the signing of the MOU by then.
