Health is our greater asset. Everyone wishes to maintain good health; however, they sometimes suffer from illnesses and injuries. And humans do inevitably grow old.

Southern TOHOKU Hospital Group (STHG) hopes to contribute to realization of “a healthy lifestyle” beyond boarders and languages. While respecting your culture, customs, and medical wishes, we help you resolve health-related problems through internationally renowned medical technology and management practice cultivated in Japan.

Starting from a Neurosurgical Hospital established in 1981, STHG currently has 8 major hospitals and more than 100 health and long-term care facilities providing not only Neurosurgery, but also healthcare and welfare services. With a total of 3,000 beds, we employ more than 8,500 employees to contribute to the realization of well-being.

Our affiliated hospitals have installed a sufficient number of modern medical devices, such as CT, MRI, and PET-CT. We also introduced radiotherapy systems, such as CyberKnife, Proton Therapy, and Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). As of March 2021, Southern TOHOKU Proton Therapy Center has treated 5,877 patients since its inauguration in 2008. We welcome domestic and international patients seeking cancer treatment at STHG.

Southern TOHOKU BNCT Research Center started patient treatment since June 2020. As of March 2021, 76 cases of head and neck cancer have been treated, and extremely good results were obtained.
