Shin-Yurigaoka General Hospital

Shin-Yurigaoka General Hospital was chosen as a regional referral hospital to supply the shortage of beds in northern Kawasaki City of Kanagawa Prefecture. The services of Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) and Pediatrics substantially strengthen the regional health care. In 2021, we celebrated our 9th anniversary since the grand opening in August 2012.

Southern TOHOKU Hospital Group (STHG) operates this hospital, offering its skilled general and advanced health care. As the number of employees comprising excellent doctors has increased, the healthcare system of the hospital has been improved year by year.

The latest data for year 2020 tells that we received more than 6,000 ambulance arrivals to Emergency Department (ED) and conducted 6,000 surgeries. From the perspective of patient-centeredness, we have introduced team-based model of care and emphasized interdisciplinary team meetings to formulate the most adequate treatment plans to patients. Considering the quality of life (QOL) of patients, we focus on minimally invasive treatment as a patient-friendly approach.

Cooperation between hospitals and medical institutions is important. We have signed more than 750 agreements to date. We aim to improve patient referral systems to create trustworthy pathways for domestic and overseas physicians and specialists.
